10 Jan San Francisco City Hall Wedding | Love is Love | Michelle and Riam
Hello 2017! Boy time has flown, and I can’t believe we’re already halfway through January! Today I am happy to share the last wedding I had in 2016. I love me a small San Francisco City Hall wedding – there’s usually less of the pomp and circumstance, but the love and joy of the occasion always shine through. Michelle and Riam live on the East Coast, but met here in the Bay years ago when they were attending UC Berkeley. For them this was both a destination and a homecoming. From seeing family come out in support, to celebrating with close friends (some of whom even flew out for the occasion!) in a city which meant so much to them at the start of their relationship – there no shortage of joy. The day started with hugs of greeting – one friend’s arrival was even a surprise for Michelle! Then, of course, the official-ness of signing all the documents followed by the ceremony on the main steps, in front of the giant Christmas tree which is an SF City Hall tradition. We then spent some time on silly portraits with friends and family, and wandered around for a few portraits of the happy couple. Finally, on the steps outside, we took photos with Michelle and Riam’s “love is love” sign – which was a theme and a celebration of the day. I know even for me, getting to participate in this wedding – and to get to celebrate that “love is love” – was such a treat and emotional in all the best ways. Dear Michelle and Riam – Congrats guys :). I wish you guys all the best in your life together!
