26 Jan San Jose Boudoir | Water | Magic
I love photographing women. I love making art. I love making something soft and beautiful and romantic. As the women’s portraiture side of my business has grown in the past couple of years, I’ve been trying to think of a way to offer a special kind of experience which would produce a special kind of art. And so, the Water | Boudoir shoot was born.
Imagine this: you’ve seen the work, and secretly have dreamed of starring in your own piece of art. Or perhaps, you know it’s something your honey would appreciate (and you know it would make you feel great about yourself, too). You take the leap and set a date. We’ll talk through any ideas or concerns you may have – we’ll talk color scheme and wardrobe, makeup and flowers. We’ll discuss what you’d like to get out of the experience. The day finally arrives, and you come to the studio for your shoot (want to bring a friend for company? No problem!). We’ll select your two looks, have some snacks and champagne, and you’ll get pampered by a professional makeup artist. We’ll start out by taking some photos in-studio – classic boudoir or beauty portraits. Want to aim for something more / less sexy? That’s a-ok! We can talk about wardrobe and choose something you’re comfortable with. Then we’ll move on to my water studio outdoors. We’ll do a range of images in up to two different looks – as mentioned before, we dial the sexiness up or down to match your comfort level. The water is warm and comfy, and I’ll direct you each step of the way for the most flattering posing.
Within two weeks of the shoot, we’ll schedule your reveal! You’ll come back in to view your images and make your selections. You can pick from heirloom print collections to large wood print enlargements. And of course each print purchase comes with the file of the image, which you can share or print to your heart’s content. In the end you’ll have had a unique, fun, pampering experience and you’ll walk away with a priceless work of art.
Still not convinced? Take a look :).
