04 May Wedding Showcase at the Sonoma Wedding Venue: The Barn at Tyge William Cellars
I know I’m not original in this – but I love me some Sonoma. So when I saw this wedding showcase at the Sonoma wedding venue, The Barn at Tyge William Cellars, pop up in my email, I had to jump at the chance. It was a beautiful Sunday in the bay – summery, sunny, warm, with a slight breeze. Everything you think of when you think of California. Failing to find a friend who was available to join me, I set out on my own. I live in San Jose, so the drive to Sonoma is a bit of a trek (an hour and 40 minutes, if there’s no traffic). But let me tell you – even the drive was glorious. Zero traffic, green hills covered in yellow flowers, the sun shining, music blaring. Definitely an “I love my life” moment.
When I arrived at The Barn at Tyge William (right behind Cornerstone Sonoma), I was very pleasantly surprised. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but it certainly wasn’t the awesome setup I found. The barn itself is a classic structure, but updated with a modern look. Barns tend to be on the darker side, but this one is so light and bright inside, with high vaulted ceilings and beautiful fixtures. And what the designers pulled off int here – I can’t even. You’ll just have to see the pictures. So, so beautiful – rich, luxurious, without being over the top or fussy. Quintessential wine country gorgeousness. Outside on the grounds, there were two ceremony areas set up – one by the pond, and one in the vineyard. They were both stunning in their own way, making use of the natural landscape and tons of peachy and white flowers. There was music, drinks and food – basically everything a girl could ask for on a sunny Sunday afternoon. I met some lovely people, ate some tasty treats, and took way too many pictures. If you’re considering a wedding in wine country and are looking for a venue (and other awesome vendors to make your day magical) – look no further, friends :). And without further ado, below are a few favorite snapshots and a list of the incredible vendors who brought it all together.
