I started offering women’s portraiture and boudoir a few years after starting my wedding photography business as a creative outlet - a way to utilize my fine art background in a more controlled space. What I found is that photographing women is one of the most inspiring and meaningful things I do. As my business has expanded, I’ve moved my boudoir photography website over to Bay Area Boudoir to really showcase my work and all that I offer.
At Bay Area Boudoir I specialize in fine art intimate portraits of women. I offer timeless boudoir and fine art nude photo sessions in my San Jose studio as well as seasonal special sets that are available for limited times only.
I see a boudoir photo shoot as a way for a woman to express herself – to celebrate her femininity, her sexiness, her power. To own it. To take time out for herself. Can you give these photos to your significant other? Absolutely. But you can give them to yourself, too. You don’t even have to have a significant other.
What I love about boudoir shoots isn’t even the dress up, or the fun, or even the final photos (though those are all elements I enjoy) – it’s what happens for a woman when she allows herself this moment to be sexy – *whatever that means for her*. It’s when a client leaves my studio with a kick in her step, a twinkle in her eye, feeling just that bit more confident in her skin.
