If you live in the Bay Area, you know that weather in January, especially at the beach, is pretty unpredictable (you know, as far as California beaches go). It could be 90 degrees and sunny inland and 60 and overcast on the coast. Or vice versa. K & C and I planned their engagement shoot at Half Moon Bay for mind January, and since their wedding is coming up pretty quickly we couldn’t have delayed it much more. We were making all sorts of contingency plans and alternate dates if the weather didn’t cooperate, but as it turns out the day was just perfect. It was close to sunset and the light came through softly through the clouds. It was still and actually warm. This set the stage for a great shoot, and in spite of being nervous about it, K and C were naturals in front of the camera! Their joy and playfulness with each other were so fun to be around and I feel like that really came through in the photos we captured. I am so excited to get to photograph their wedding later this year. And now, the pretty beach engagement shoot magic:
