Oh, I am so stoked to share Celia and JImmy’s wedding at Leal Vineyards! It was such a beautiful and emotional day. First thing in the morning, Hok and I arrived at Jimmy’s parents’ house for the tea ceremony festivities. Family members met and greeted each other, hugs were had, and Celia and Jimmy showed up already looking amazing. After the tea ceremony, there was an incredible lunch spread that everyone got to enjoy (us included – we felt like part of the family!). After food and photos, Hok and I joined the bridal party over at Jimmy and Celia’s house for changing into formal wedding gear and champagne toasts, and then we all headed over to Leal Vineyards in Hollister. Previous to checking it out for this wedding, I had never been there before – let me tell you, it is *stunning*. We were blessed with a vividly sunny day with a breeze – perfection. The ladies helped Celia put on her amazing fairytale gown and we did a few portraits before the main event. The ceremony was held in the Olive Grove, and the guests were treated to mariachi band music as they waited for Celia’s grand entrance. Celia and Jimmy incorporated a few cool traditions into their ceremony, including a ring warming (in which the rings are passed around for all the guests to send their well wishes and prayers). There were tears and smiles, and the couple was radiant as they promised themselves to each other. After the ceremony came the cocktail hour, with wood-fired pizzas and drinks, while I photographed the family and wedding party with the couple. With fall upon us, we had to sneak out right after dinner was served to catch the last rays of sun for Celia and Jimmy’s portraits, and the light was just that incredible orangey glowy goodness that I love so much. Then there was dancing and toasts in the massive barrel room at Leal, which was dressed up to the nines and provided a beautiful backdrop to all the fun. Finally, at the very end of the night, Hok and I grabbed Celia and Jimmy for one last portrait in the Olive Grove – this time with it lit up with thousands of fairy lights, making the whole space look magical.
