Santa Cruz engagement shoots have been big this year, and this location – Henry Cowell Redwoods mixed with Natural Bridges Beach – is probably the most popular spot for my couples. I love the combination of forest and ocean that is so quintessentially California. Lauren and James moved out here from back East, and this seemed like a really great way for them to celebrate not only their engagement but also their new home! They’ve done the whole thing – meeting in college, long-distance on the East coast, and finally moving out here for this next chapter. For their engagement shoot, we started at Henry Cowell park which is one of their favorite hiking locations. We marveled at the towering giants and enjoyed some time by the river. Then we moved on to Natural Bridges Beach in Santa Cruz, where the sun was already low in the sky giving everything that golden glow we all love. Everyone got sand in their shoes, and someone may have gotten a little wet, but there was fun and frolicking and it was an all-around good beachy time :). Congrats Lauren and James, I’m excited for you guys – for your wedding and all that comes after.
