Grace and Kenny initially planned to have a full sized wedding at a local park in May. Then Covid happened, and all plans were indefinitely paused. Then when it looked like life wouldn’t be “back to normal” for a while, they planned to elope with a small group of family in the Santa Cruz Mountains. And then the fires tore through and the park they had their hearts set on was devastated. For a third time, Grace and Kenny planned their elopement in Santa Cruz under the redwoods. After everything that had gone down, I’m not sure they really believed it would happen, but it did! They said their vows in a beautiful spot in the Redwoods with just a small group of 10 immediate family members. Grace’s brother Michael officiated, and the ceremony was short and sweet under the giant trees. Afterward, I got to follow them around in the forest for some portraits. For the grand finale, we made it out to the beach and got some glorious sunset photos.
Grace and Kenny – you did it! It was all beautiful and I’m so glad your family (and later some friends) were able to join you for this special event. Thanks for having me along and trusting me with your photos :).
