Happy Sunny Tuesday world! It’s really feeling like spring around here, and what better way to ring in the season then with some photos of people in love in some wild flowers? No, I know, I couldn’t think of anything better either. So suffice it to say I was pretty stoked when Cory and Abby suggested doing their engagement shoot at Wilder Ranch in Santa Cruz. This place is gorgeous any time of year, but especially in the spring when everything is in bloom. Most people take photos with the adorable old buildings and barns in the center of the park, but since A+C’s wedding is at Cory’s family farm we decided to skip those and just enjoy the beautiful nature. Wilder ranch spans across highway 1, and we hit both sides during the shoot. We said hi to the horses and frolicked in the flowers and even found an incredible cactus to shoot in (yes, we were IN the cactus. WHAT). Towards the end of the day we headed over to Shark Fin Cove just a few miles down the road. I have lived here for nearly 15 years and have never been there! What a cool spot. It was, of course, crawling with photographers, but we managed to stay out of each others’ way. Most of my favorite moments, however, happened on the bluffs above as the sun set. You wait and wait for that perfect light, and then it’s gone before you know it.
