Even though the weather can’t figure out if it’s winter or spring, engagement season is in full swing over here at Juniper Spring headquarters :). I’ve been scheduling shoots in between rain showers (though if someone wants a nice cold rainy session, I’m down for that too!), and this shoot with Vanessa and Chad is no exception – we lucked out with beautiful weather at Windy Hill Open Space Preserve. Sean and I go hiking there all the time, and I had noticed that the top part of the park, along skyline, is quite pretty in the evening light, so I had suggested it as a possibility for their shoot. Chad and Vanessa and I did a fair bit of hiking of our own, walking part way down the trail at several different points to make the most of the lovely scenery. There were trees and thistles, views and wildflowers, and two people so clearly in love. They had such a fun, natural way of being together and I loved photographing them! I can’t wait to photograph their Nestldown wedding later this year -but meanwhile, here are some of my faves from their engagement session at Windy Hill :).
