Marion and Jake met when he was studying abroad, and from what I hear they hit it off immediately! Fast forward a few years and many travels together; they are living together in France, and I had the distinct pleasure of photographing their wedding at Wildwood Acres Resort earlier this month. I had never worked at this venue before, but I am so glad they picked it – it is a feast for the eyes (and the photographer) and requires fairly minimal sprucing to become a magical fairyland. Marion made these incredible dream catchers that swayed gently in the breeze, and between those, the lovely flowers, the twinkly lights and lush gardens, it was the perfect setting to celebrate Marion and Jake and their commitment to each other. Friends and family drove and flew in – many coming all the way from France! The ceremony was sweet, with reminisces of their first travels together, and the toasts were tear-jerking and laugh inducing. Marion’s mom put together a poster and song for them which was a surprise to almost everyone, and then they and their friends danced the night away under the stars. This was such a lovely way to start my marathon of August weddings! Marion and Jake – Félicitations! I am so happy for you, excited for your future together, and am feeling quite blessed to have been a part of your celebration.
