I first encountered Kristine and Desmond as guests at Arianne and Marcel’s wedding in Tahoe a couple years ago. When we met I instantly recognized them from dance floor photos I had taken :). Now it’s their turn to get married, and it’s been so fun getting to know them! They met in college at CalPoly in San Luis Obispo, so it was a natural thought to have their engagement session there. I’m pretty much always down to travel so I was stoked to shoot in a new and beautiful spot. Per their suggestion, we went to Montana De Oro State Beach on the coast near San Luis Obispio to do their engagement session. There had been threats of rain but we’d already committed to going so we figured we’ just “go with the flow” whatever happened. As it turned out, we were blessed with warm, sunny weather and gorgeous evening light. We walked along the lovely trails and bluffs and snuck down to the beach for a few shots. Tons of people arrived in the evening to watch the sunset, and we were all given a pretty lovely show. So fun to see a new area and hang out with these two, and I’m looking forward to their wedding in a few months!
